*CORONAVIRUS*

The Association continues to request official guidance from DEFRA regarding dog boarding, day care owners and dog walking businesses. As a result of the lack of official guidance there remains confusion at a local level as to whether they can operate at this time.

In the mean time we thought it may be helpful to have current guidance and useful links in one place.

Unfortunately Covid-19 has impacted trade for many pet businesses and we are all worried for our families and livelihoods. However if you need support please get in touch here and we will do our best to offer advice and support.

Emergency Dog Care Statement

Nobody likes to think about being parted from our pets due to illness or death, but particularly in current times, it is something owners should consider.

Association of Dog Boarders has created an Emergency Care Form for your clients to complete with their wishes if they become incapacitated or sadly pass away.

Please note that this form is not intended to supersede legal documents such as wills, it is a support tool to help dog owners to think about who could for their dog in advance of any help being needed.

Dog owners should make sure that the detailed Emergency Contacts have a copy of the form by was of a photo or scan, so that they written consent to talk to vets during the period of care.
